Scott Ballew
Scott Ballew är en låtskrivare och filmskapare från Austin, Texas. I över 15 år har han jobbat med film vilket så klart satt sin prägel på hans låtskriveri också. Inte minst den dokumentär om kultartisten Terry Allen, som Ballew regisserade. Ballew släppte sitt första album "Talking to the Mountains" 2021, förra året kom uppföljaren "Leisure Rodeo" och i vintras en EP med covers, "Middle Age Crazy". Scott Ballew is a filmmaker and songwriter from Austin, TX.
With over 15 years of commercial, documentary, and film experience, Scott's collaborations with various film-makers, musicians, adventurers, and entrepreneurs has led to a unique point of view and voice. In addition to branded short films and commercials, Scott also directed the independent feature documentary on the iconic artist and musician Terry Allen, and was a producer on the feature documentary ‘Charged.'
His first album ‘Talking To Mountains' was released in 2021. A quick follow up album called ‘Leisure Rodeo' was released in the fall of 2022, followed up by a 4 song Covers EP entitled ‘Middle Age Crazy' released in winter of 2023. A third full length album of 10 original songs called "Rio Bravo" will be available soon, which was produced by Michael Nau of Cotton Jones.
"Scott's songs are stories that go rolling through your head like little movies. You watch them inside yourself as much as you hear them. And you carry away something of value you didn't have before. As far as I'm concerned that's exactly what a good song should do. That and tell the truth. Scott's songs do all of this."
